I know, crazy. But they're just a little too boring for me. I need chocolate chips or oatmeal or M&Ms or something in my cookie! In my opinion, the best thing about sugar cookies is decorating them. They have a smooth surface that's perfect for icing and decorating.
So to keep up with my rep, I'm not going to make sugar cookies-- from scratch that is.
I present a magical little thing called cookie mix! I'm going to try two types: Traditional Sugar and Chocolate Peppermint.
I pretty much hate baking mixes. If it ain't from scratch, I'm not interested. But seeing as how I wanted perfect decorating cookies, I chose to go with a mix. You can't really screw up a mix.
Ok, I'll admit I got a little lazy. I picked up a couple tubs of frosting. Hey, this post is focusing on the decorating, not the stuff leading up to it!
